Under the hood of the very tidy engine bay is the 283 powerpack V8 engine with a 4 bbl Holley linked to the two-speed column shift automatic. Running and driving all so smoothly. Ready for someone to drive her away.

There are 57,785 original miles showing on the odometer and the interior and exterior shows this. Bench seats front and rear presented in a combo of Black/copper/beige vinyl/cloth (Code 674). Some features include manual locks and windows, clock and AM radio. All colours throughout the interior mix well.

Presented in the colour Adobe Beige (Code 806A) all over, chrome and moulding are in good condition, overriders on the front chrome, original spinner hubcaps, 1″ white walls tyres – she’s ready to go.

This 1957 Chevy has been restored beautifully, with a lot of new parts underneath and on the vehicle.

Under the bonnet in an aftermarket 350 ci small block crate engine which has only travelled 44,660 miles linked to the 2-speed overdrive automatic transmission. Runs and idles smoothly and glides through the gears. The V8 is eager, feeling more modern than its age would suggest and when combined with the 2-speed automatic it results in a genuinely quick car.

The interior is presented in black and silver vinyl upholstery, the dash is in great condition, the new door and window handles, Chevrolet floor mats and the roof lining is in great condition.

The strong straight six is all you need when taking this classic out for a cruise. Linked to the 2-speed automatic transmission. Original colour of the exterior and in faint form on the car at the moment but it was originally a two-tone colour combination of Crocus Yellow and Laurel Green (PAINT N# 717) and interior is Charcoal Cloth upholstery (TRIM N# 564).

This 4 door hardtop is quite popular to work on. You’ll find parts easily. They remanufacture a lot of the parts and body parts. The price reflects. It is for sale for a very reqsonable price. It’s a project car (remember).

An Australian delivered factory right hand drive Chevrolet presented white paint in good condition and no rust. Interior is Blue Vinyl with cloth inserts in good condition for the age. Reverse Cowl bonnet scoop.

Under the bonnet in the extremely tidy engine bay is the factory 283 Cubic Inch V8 Turbo Fire linked to the 2 speed powerglide column shift automatic transmission. The engine runs sweet, starts first go every time, drives like it just came out of the factory and is ready to roll with SA registration complete.

Inside the interior, including the roof liner, bench seats and floor is mated with a combination of copper metallic vinyl and grey pattern fabric cloth. The Chevrolet symbol is engraved in the vinyl, on the door cards and throughout the seats. The dash panel is in excellent condition with great visibility of the instruments and the controls through the spoke and rim design. The spacious glove compartment has its own look. The inside is all original and in very nice condition. Glass is intact and all original. The trunk, floors and seals are all very solid. Overall, this is a remarkable vehicle in the condition that it is in.

On the exterior the Chevrolet still sports the ORIGINAL paint which is presented in a 2 tone colour combination of Gothic Gold through the bottom with Satin Beige on the top. It has a nice shine to it. The chrome bumpers, mouldings and ornaments are all in original condition, untouched. There is a ding in the back bumper and a couple nicks throughout the mouldings but for a 62 year old original survivor that’s what you’ll get. The Belair has a few optional features on the car including twin ariels on the rear, factory Chevrolet spina hubcaps and overrider chrome extensions on the front.

This is the ultimate surviving vehicle and with those miles and the originality of the Belair you will not find another one like this.
